The intention of our Volunteering Time Off Programme is to create community engagement opportunities for all employees of William Hill International that are meaningful, purposeful and helps those in need. We also take part in many other CSR projects throughout the year to support our local community.
Fresh Friday juices and smoothies, local barista vouchers, home-baked goodies, team dinners, activity events and of course after work Friday refreshments – it’s all in a day’s work here at William Hill International.
We have a holistic approach to health, recognising that health isn't just about physical fitness and good nutrition, but mental health as well as much, much more. We all encounter difficulties with our mental health from time-to-time, it's exactly the same as when we have an accident or dental emergency, but as a society, we treat these with more care and urgency that we do with our mental health.
This is why we offer mental health support options for all of our employees. Not only do we offer free access to a 24/7 Counselling & Support Helpline, but you can also claim back Psychotherapy through your private health insurance policy. We also provide free access to the Unmind app where you can understand and improve your mental wellbeing.
We also encourage all employees to join free yoga classes and HIIT workouts in the nearby gym. We also offer a yearly allowance that can be used on anything fitness-related including gym, sports Memberships, sports equipment and/or clothing.
The wellness of our employees is always our utmost concern. Should the unexpected happen, we want to make sure you and your loved ones are protected.
If worst comes to the worst, put your mind at ease and know that William Hill International has you covered. All employees benefit from long-term Income Protection Insurance and Private Hospital Health Insurance which includes eye care and dental care treatments.
Being more flexible with your working hours can help you focus, work more productively, and allow you to spend your time differently. Working from home can also increase motivation and reduce stress, travel costs and environmental impact.
William Hill is committed to providing flexibility to our people; giving them the choice of how and where to work from wherever possible. We want to give control over our people’s work-life balance whilst supporting them to deliver great service to customers in line with our values.
By introducing Balance, we are giving our employees the opportunity to work from home for most of their working time. The Balance programme was born out of the feedback received from the team workshops. Our people told us that wanted more flexibility, we listened, and we acted upon it.
Throughout the pandemic, we were forced into working differently within William Hill. Our leaders and all our colleagues have adapted with remarkable resilience, enthusiasm and imagination to make this work. We have launched a new training programme for our leaders focusing on virtual leadership, engagement, communication and the importance of wellbeing to equip them with the tools and know-how they require to become successful Balanced Leaders.
Our Balance programme truly shows that we, at William Hill, are a dynamic and agile business that embraces new ways of working.
