Join a dynamic and fast-paced compliance function where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the business operates in line with gambling regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Working closely with regulators, senior stakeholders, and operational teams, you’ll provide expert compliance guidance, manage regulatory risk, and help foster a strong culture of compliance across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to influence strategic initiatives and support the ongoing growth of a highly regulated online gaming business.
- Provide ongoing regulatory and compliance advice in relation to Irish and other applicable gaming regulatory frameworks, ensuring the business remains aligned with evolving legal and regulatory obligations.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with regulatory authorities, external legal advisors, and relevant industry stakeholders.
- Lead and support regulatory audits, compliance reviews, and internal assessments to ensure adherence to licensing conditions, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Draft, review and/or approve customer-facing content, including websites, marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and communications to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
- Partner with business stakeholders to implement, maintain, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Investigate regulatory incidents, complaints, and potential breaches, ensuring timely escalation, remediation, reporting, and appropriate record keeping.
- Provide practical compliance guidance across key business areas, including responsible gaming, AML/CFT, marketing, customer operations, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive compliance awareness and training initiatives to promote a strong culture of regulatory compliance and ethical conduct across the organisation.
- Support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of regulatory and compliance risks within operational processes.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams, senior management, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are consistently achieved and maintained.
- Contribute to business projects and strategic initiatives by providing proactive regulatory and compliance input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the maintenance and ongoing development of the Company’s Risk Register, compliance monitoring programme, and governance reporting framework.
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments and emerging risks, providing clear analysis and recommendations regarding potential business impact.
- Prepare high-quality compliance reports, reviews, management information, and regulatory updates for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Lead, mentor, and support members of the Compliance team as may be required, fostering professional development, ensuring effective workload management, and promoting a high-performance compliance culture.
- Support compliance projects and undertake ad hoc regulatory assignments as required.
- Strong understanding of gambling regulatory frameworks.
- Previous experience within the online gaming industry.
- Knowledge of AML/CFT obligations, responsible gaming requirements, and broader regulatory compliance principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and report-writing capabilities.
- A legal qualification and/or being a qualified lawyer would be considered a strong asset.
