What you will be doing...

The AML Project Specialist's primary focus is on ensuring that the AML Program meets service level standards to support compliance efforts including creating, reviewing, updating, and tracking AML related policies, procedures, and processes.

This position is the first point of contact for other stakeholders for issue escalation and assists the AML manager to resolve complex situations and acts as a key back-up for the AML Team Leader.

The position will report directly to the AML Manager.

Specific responsibilities...
  • Manage the annual AML Training Content, assignments, reporting, track late assignments
  • Responsible for Communications / SharePoint / to determine and create content through discussions with peers or industry resources to communicate best practices to specific areas of the company
  • Assists the AML CCM (Continuous Control Monitoring) to promote consistency of analysis and risk measurement. The CCM Program enables the AML department to self-identify risks, document controls, and provide the opportunity to self-correct control weaknesses. Works directly with department leadership (group AML department) to produce and update the CCM and QA process through which operational risks and the effectiveness of controls are assessed and examined. The objective is to provide reasonable assurance that all business objectives will be met.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the AML Team, helping to troubleshoot, and providing support to determine how and when to escalate issues.
  • Provide technical support and representation in the implementation of new software/ AML or Business Tool to always ensure AML compliance
  • Creates and tracks performance metrics in all areas for production and reporting purposes to management committees. Presents metrics to management committees as needed.
  • Assist AML Manager/MLRO and acts as the main back-up to maintain and enhance specified duties within the AML Program Unit including but not limited to:
    Risk Assessments – supports the enterprise-wide risk management framework, including BRA and CRA assessment methodology, Country Risk Assessments, Product & Services Risk Assessment (and others) concentrating on risk management, control design, employee training, monitoring, and testing, and reporting of AML/ CFT deficiencies. Also, the creating, review, updating, and tracking of all AML/CFT related policies and procedures.
  • Quality Control - supports other AML teams to evaluate systems and processes in order to effectively create controls that test the quality of operation.
  • Third-party requests – supports tracking, reporting, and responding to inquiries to meet compliance efforts.
  • Conducts assessments on operational processes to ensure that proper governance processes, segregation of duties, and systems integrity is sustained and enforced. May review internal system and transaction reports and compares the effectiveness of various systems, policies, and procedures. Responsible for identifying trends and patterns.
  • Ensures staff performs their activities in compliance with company policies and procedures, and that documentation is accurate and properly maintained. Assists AML Program Manager with activity reports, examination, and audit material preparation. Support STR reporting in the development of new and revised procedures, methods, and forms that are related to submission to FIUs.
  • Any other duties or special projects as assigned.
What we would like to see from you...
  • At least 2 years of work experience in  AML within the gaming industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and best practices, etc. Ability to interpret, understand, and implement guidance related to compliance efforts.
  • Intermediate knowledge to research, document, produce written documentation that would be used in policies or procedures, or training material.
  • Intermediate skills to lead, facilitate, coordinate, or conduct training efforts and create user content using a variety of platforms; including but not limited to in-person training, remote/virtual learning, manuals, newsletters, advisories, and/or one-on-one. The ability to learn different platforms to create different content is necessary.
  • Intermediate computer operational skills required (Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Intermediate experience using transaction monitoring and case management software.
  • CAMS Certification preferred or must be able to obtain within one year.
  • To be a good communicator through various channels
  • Ability to read documents or instruments, engage in detailed work, problem-solving, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal communication, written communication, analytical reasoning, training, and negotiate multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of European reporting systems such as GoAML will be considered as an asset
