Reporting into the Head of People operations, we are looking for a dedicated people and payroll specialist to join our people team in Malta. 

• Coordinate HR-related processes in a timely manner to ensure that onboarding, termination and exit of employees is done according to legal requirements together with other formalities as required by different entities, such as Jobsplus, IRD etc.
• Conducting the HR onboarding meeting for new employees as from day one to assist with assimilation and to inform about relevant local employment legislation and company policies.
• Consistently assisting employees with requested documents, e.g. issue of certificate of employment, confirmation, payroll forms, sick leave certificates etc.
• Assisting with obtaining work permits for non-EU staff.
• Updating & maintaining the HR System with employee records and managing the employee leave and sick leave records.
• Managing the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Maintain employee information and HR data in an orderly manner and to ensure GDPR requirements are respected.
• Managing and processing the payroll calculation and ensuring 100 % accuracy of payroll data, at all time and that local procedures are followed, and legislation is respected.
• Assist with other HR duties as needed, including in the issue of employment documents and appendices.
• Assist the Head of People Operations with any ad hoc projects as required.
• Maintain constant communication and collaboration with other HR/Admin members of staff.

• At least 3 years experience as HR & Payroll Specialist or in a similar position.
• Experience within the iGaming industry or other fast paced environments shall be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Maltese employment law and best practice is required, including basic knowledge of GDPR requirements.
• Ready to work independently and responsible.
• Be an active team player, ready to take initiative and work on their own steam.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
