As the Lead Creative for one of evoke’s global brands, you will spearhead the creative delivery of William Hill brand communications, ensuring the alignment of the creative vision with business goals. This role requires a blend of innovative thinking, creative planning, and strong leadership skills to guide & influence a team of designers, copywriters, and other creative & marketing professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative ideation and design, an obsession for detail, and the ability to inspire and elevate the creative output of a wider team of designers and artworkers.
You will work hand in glove with our Brand & Creative agency, adopting a ‘one-team’ attitude with accountability for shaping and executing the William Hill brand visual identity through all customer facing comms. From the latest, greatest ATL campaign, to the tiniest mobile and CRM banner, you’ll be the person driving our creative standards forward, making sure everything appears exactly as it should and to the highest brand standards.
- Consistently demonstrating strong creative leadership: leading and inspiring the creative development of innovative concepts and high-quality design for the William Hill brand, ensuring the creative vision aligns with the brand’s objectives and business goals. You’ll provide strong Art Direction to the wider creative teams, overseeing, influencing and consulting on the creative outputs from inception to completion, ensuring consistency and creative excellence from the Brand & Creative department. Executing creative briefs and ensuring that all work aligns with the strategic direction of the brand will be your passion, as well as providing design sign-off where required.
- You’ll confidently own, build and present creative decks to relevant senior stakeholders within the wider organisation, in partnership with the Brand Team, and then collaborate with marketing, product, and other departments to develop and execute the creative vision that you set.
- This role is ‘on the tools’, providing idea visualisation, setting the creative strategy and constantly providing creative direction, acting as the standard bearer for the creative output of the William Hill brand, in partnership with the Brand team and the Brand & Creative agency, always with pride in what we do. You will be a creative extension of our agency resource and the go-to person for our internal creative teams.
- This is a fast paced, high-pressure environment, so the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential, ensuring timely delivery in collaboration with the Project Management team.
- You’ll keep up to date with the latest market creative trends, industry technologies and competitor activities to identify opportunities for continuous creative & design improvement, while relentlessly remaining anchored in the William Hill brand VI that you will be responsible for creating and shaping. You’ll conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback to the creative teams, addressing and resolving any issues that arise during the creative process.
- Be the ‘go-to’ person for idea generation, creative solutions and creative leadership in the Brand & Creative team
- Successful delivery of new creative campaigns and design solutions that aligns with the William Hill brand strategy
- Working seamlessly with brand, creatives, and agencies working towards business agreed project focuses and priorities.
- Exceptional creative output delivered to time, setting the direction for designers and artworkers
- Build strong relationships the wider Brand, Creative and BU teams
- A collaborative, hands-on attitude to creative problem solving
- 5+ years experience in a senior creative or design role
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects and innovative thinking
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with confidence and experience in stakeholder management
- Ability to manage multiple creative projects, and prioritise workload effectively, willing to change focus quickly
- Sound understanding of UX/UI principles
- Knowledge of broadcast and digital marketing, social media, and emerging design trends
- A continual improvement mindset
- A team player
- Knowledge of the gambling industry, sport and/or gaming is preferable and will be extremely beneficial in this role
